Biography

Henry, Earl of Bar, whose dau. Joan was m. to John de Warenne at age 10 or 11.

Children

Count Henri and his wife, Eleanor, only had two children, Edouard [Count of Bar] and Joan (or Jeanne) (wife of John de Warrene, Knt., Earl of Surrey). Simply put, there was no daughter, Eleanor, who married Llewelyn ap Owain Lord of South Wales. This daughter is utterly fictitious. [1]

Died on return from crusade[citation needed].

Research notes

Per Anselme: He sided with the party of England and in 1297, entered in Champagne where he did much damage; the King [of France - Philip IV the Fair] confiscated the seigneurie de Torcy which he gave to his brother Charles, comte de Valois. Some time later Henry made peace with Philippe le Bel per treaty signed on the feast of Trinity, year 1301. He died soon afterwards [about 1301, and with no indication that it was in a crusade]. Anselme cites Preuves de la Maison de Bar-le-Duc, A. Du Chesne, pp 39-41, as his authority. Rassinot-1 19:32, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Bar LeDuc-1 and Bar-290 appear to represent the same person because: same person, please merge, LNAB should be simply "Bar" ... Thank you.
Although he might have been called Henry Earl of Barr in English publications, he was actually French and name should be Henri III, Comte de Bar see here http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/BAR.htm#HenriIIIdied1302
