In 1910 Dorothy Barkley (age 8) lived in Kiskiminetas with her father George (38, Engineer Stationary Engine), mother Jeanette (32), and four brothers: George (10), Lewis (6), Robert (4), and Boyde (2).[1]
In 1920 Dorthy Barcley (age 18) lived in Second District, McNairy County, Tennessee with her mother Janetta (40, Farmer General Farm) and seven brothers: George (21, Farmer at Home), Lawis (16), Robert (14), Boyd (12), Walace (10), Gilbert (8), and Walter (6).[2] It is uncertain where her father was at this time.
Dorothy Barcly (age 24, daughter of George Barcly, born Scotland, and Jennet Barcly, American) and Walter E Booth (age 28, son of E?? Booth & Lottie Booth, both born in Delaware) were married on 9 Nov 1929 in Hartley, Kent County, Delaware - the witnesses were Lena Scotton & Mary E Dodd.[3]

Another son is listed on the 1940 census, but he was born before they married - was he adopted? Was he born out of wedlock? Was he actually their nephew rather than a son? Where was he on the 1930 census?:
Lauder Booth (1926-2000)
In 1930 Dorothy Booth (age 24) lived in the 4th Representative District, Kent County, Delaware with her husband Walter (28, Laborer Road Construction) and grandfather-in-law Levin Booth (77).[4]
In 1940 Dorthy Booth (age 36) lived in Hartley, 4th Representative District, Kent County with her husband Walter (38, Labor State Highway) and six children: Lauder (13), Helen (7), Russell (5), Henry John (3), Walter (1), and Phyllis Ann (0).[5]
Dorothy's husband passed away in 1979.
Dorothy Booth, born 27 Aug 1901, passed away on 5 Sep 1983 in Earleville, Cecil County, Maryland.[6] She is buried at Templeville Cemetery in Templeville, Caroline County, Maryland.[7]
