Biography

Hyppolyte "Paul" Bard dit Jombard was born July 15, 1791 in Riviere Ouelle, Province of Québec. He was the first of eight children of Augustin Bard dit Jombard and Marie-Modeste Lévesque.[1][2][3][4] [5]

He married Julie Dubé, daughter of Charles and Geneviève Lévesque, on October 14, 1811 in Rivière-Ouelle, Lower Canada.[1][2][3][4] [6]

They had the following children:

  2. Esther Bard, 1814 - m. 1836 with Joseph Vaillancourt
  3. Jean Aquilin, 1816 - 1816
  4. Victor, 1817 - 1817
  5. Marie Émilie, 1818
  6. Marie Léa, 1820 - 1821
  7. Marie Claire, 1822
  8. Hippolyte, 1824
  9. Paul (jumeau), 1826 - 1826
  10. Marie Angèle (jumelle, 1826 -
  11. Edouard Lazare, 1827- 1828
  12. Marie Pauline, 1830 - 1830

He is listed in the 1850 census as a laborer on the Hancock Plantation.

He died on November 15, 1857 in Frenchville, Aroostook County, Maine. [8]

He was buried at Ste.Luce on November 17, 1857.[9]
