Biography

I have seen her name as "Elizabeth" and "Pherity" one family tree at FamilySearch.org lists her name as "Elizabeth Faherty/Pherity Barfoot." Until I found her in the 1860 US Census, I thought her first name was Pherbey, based on her marriage license. I have updated it to reflect the more likely spelling of "Pherity." Although it could be her mother's maiden name and be spelled "Farherty." But, that's just speculation.
