Granville was born about 1856. He is the son of Jesse Barger and Elizabeth Johnston. He passed away about 1940.

Granville Barger, was the father of several children, who took the maiden name of their mother, which was Rice. The information contained in the note, in the attached, has been verified to me by a grandson of Polly Rice.
