I have corrected the issue with the marriages and children of the two John Barkers to reflect what is supported by documents. John Barker (1673-1751) with marriages to Sarah Chadwick and Mehitable Stickney and John Barker (1690-1764) with marriage to Sarah Gage.

The two John Barkers -- one who married Sarah Chadwick and second married Mehitable Stickney and one who married Sarah Gage can be sorted out with the probate records of the two John Barkers and careful attention to the age at death of the two men.

John Barker born 3 Nov 1673 and died 19 Mar 1750/1 (in his 78th year) was the son of John Barker and Mary Stevens. He married first Sarah Chadwick who died in 1726 and married second Mehitable Stickney. John Barker left a will which names his wife Mehitable and the children of John Barker and Sarah Chadwick: sons Nathan and john, daughter Sarah Kimball and Esther Barker. He also had six other children who died in childhood. (Essex County, MA: Probate File Papers, 1638-1881.Online database. AmericanAncestors.org. New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2014. Case 1673). This John is Quartermaster John whose death is recorded in 1751 whose wife Sarah died in 1726 at age 41.

John Barker born 10 Feb 1689/90 son of William Barker and Mary Dix married Sarah Gage. This John died 24 October 1764 at age 75. His will (written in 1760 before the death of his wife Sarah in 1761) names wife Sarah, son Stephen Barker, daughter Mary Chadwick, daughter Sarah Chadwick, and daughter Hephzibah Peabody. In addition to these four children, John Barker and Sarah Chadwick has two children who died in childhood. (Essex County, MA: Probate File Papers, 1638-1881.Online database. AmericanAncestors.org. New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2014. Case 1675).

The marriage records show that John and Sarah were married in 1711, and John the Quatermaster was married to Mehetible Stickne in 1729. That's three years after Sarah died so I'm not entirely convinced about the duplication.

Barker-1874 and Barker-183 appear to represent the same person because: Looks like a match.

Thank you. Kenneth
