She married Matthew John Sproul at Goderich, Ontario in 1920.^[2] The year of marriage is often erroneously transcribed as 3 April 1926, due to a stamp overlapping the date.

She passed away in 1939 and is buried in Colborne Cemetery, Goderich, Huron, Ontario, Canada
