Harriet married E. Wells Chase.
In 1860, the Chase family lived in Ogden City, Utah Territory. The household included Wells E. Chase, 30, born in New York, a farmer with $500 in real estate and $2100 in personal estate; his two wives, Jane, 25, born in Canada West, and Harriet Chase, 24, b. NY; and the Chase children, all b. Utah, Jane D., 5; Wells C., 4; William H., 2; and Ellen F., an infant. Also living with them were Elleaner Moss, 42, b. New Brunswick; Charlotte Moss, 12, b. Missouri; and Levi A. Green, 20, b. Pennsylvania, a servant. [1]
Harriet was one of the two plural wives of Elisha Wells Chase. In 1900, Elisha chose to live with his wife Jane (whom he'd had more children with), and Harriet was sent to live with her son. Harriet had at least three children. She died in 1925, and is buried in Ogden City Cemetery, Ogden, Utah. [2]
