Ananias C. Barker s/o Cornelius Barker and Sally Ingram Barker, he was born about 1809 in Kentucky, their only child.

On February 16, 1829 in Logan County, Kentucky, he married Serena Jane Addison, daughter of William Addison and Nancy Mobley Addison. She was born about 1807 in Logan County, Kentucky.

Ananias C Barker and wife Serena had at least 7 children: Minerva Jane Barker, Nancy Barker, Presley E Barker, Serina Ann Barker, Sarah F Barker, John E Barker and Susan Ann Barker.
