Margaret Elizabeth Barker Swindell July 27, 1921 – January 12, 2015 Margaret Elizabeth Barker Swindell, 93, of Mesquite, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, in Mesquite. She was born in the White Rock community of Hunt County near Wolfe City on July 27, 1921, to Jack Barker and Eula Cody Barker. She was married to Archie Moman Swindell in Hugo, Oklahoma on March 10, 1938. Mrs. Swindell was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker, loving mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her family. Survivors are daughters Betty Darlene Henry of Mesquite and Lana Jean Allard of Dallas; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; and Mary Jane Barker Hart, her only surviving sister. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers, Jackson Barker, Joe Preston Barker, and Lindle Barker. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2015, at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Brother Larry Morris officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the start of the service. ^[3]
