Christopher was born about 1908.He was initially a baker and worked for his mother Annie, when she ran the Gothic Cafe, Market Street, Kirkby Stephen.
He married "Madge" when he returned home from War Service in the Border Regiment, in India.
Interestingly he was able to see his father's grave in Peshawar, India whilst serving there.
After the war he worked on the railway and following retirement he ran a small printing business from home.
In Q2 of 1969 he married Winifred "Winnie" Creusen at Stafford and they initially lived at his home in Kirkby Stephen, then to Southwaite and lastly to Appleby Westmorland
