The following children of John Barker appear in the Nayland, Suffolk parish register (viewable on-site at a LDS Family History Center)^[2] with the original parish registers also viewable on FHL film 1849154 Item 25 (names were cross-checked between the original and the transcription when questionable since the transcriber's handwriting was not always clear):

1. William baptized 29 Oct 1685 image 3179 of 3600 followed by another William son of "Gregorie" Barker. Note that Greg Barker had several more children including a Mary baptized 18 June 1590.
2. John baptized 22 June 1586 buried same day, the transcription lists the father as John Barker Junior; I read the original entry as John "Bawley" junior which seems a bit far apart even for the variable spelling of the time. Plus this is very close to the prior baptism of William Barker but is still obviously possible especially if the child was born premature.
3. Joyce (daughter, the transcriber recorded this as "Joan") baptized 31 March 1589 to John Senior and the same day her presumed niece Margaret Barker baptized to John Junior.
4. John baptized 28 Dec 1592 with no Junior/Senior notation on the father.
5. Thomas baptized 29 Jan 1593/94 with no Junior/Senior notation on the father.
6. Richard baptized 15 Jul 1595, no Junior/Senior
7. Samuel baptized 14 Mar 1598/99, no Junior/Senior
8. Anne baptized 4 Mar 1602 (the register begins the new year on January instead of March 27th at this point)
9. John baptized 22 Apr 1604

No further Barker baptisms are found at Nayland until 1611 as a child of Robert. However, as noted on the profile of the daughter (Mary) of this profile, there was a 1608 baptism of Mary daughter of John Barker at neighboring Stoke by Nayland. However this makes Mary 13 years old at her marriage in 1622, extremely unlikely.

The above baptism records conform with the fact that John Senior died between 31 March 1589 when Joyce was baptized and 28 Dec 1592 when his son John Junior appeared to have his next child John baptized without the notation "Junior" in the parish register. In fact a burial is found on 22 October 1588 for John Barker Senior, landholder and if this was the same John Senior then he died about 6 months before his daughter Joyce was actually born. This burial record is currently associated with the father John of this profile.

A burial for Margaret Barker, widow is found at Nayland on 15 Jan 1590/91 and this may have been the widow of the same John Senior if Margaret was still young enough to have daughter Joyce on 31 March 1589. But with such common names, more research is required on this topic.
