John, b. 23 Feb 1834; m. Elizabeth Ann Schofield and lived in Goole where he died 1 Aug 1910 in Goole; 6 known children: Sarah, Robert, Annie, Albert, Frederick and Walter, and possibly two others. Only three were alive in 1911. He was a master mariner (1861-1881) and later a confectioner like his sister Frances.
