Benjmin F Barnes was enumerated at Post Office Flat Rock, Barnes District, DeKalb County, Georgia for the August 9, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1855 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Thos Barnes, female Mary J Barnes, female Martha A Barnes, female Harriett L Barnes, female Susan Barnes, male Thos J Barnes, female Malissa V Barnes and female Mary Peeler.[1]

Benjamin Barns was enumerated at Lithonia Post Office, DeKalb County, Georgia for the July 22, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1854-1855 in Georgia and a farm laborer as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Mary J Barns, male Thomas J Barns, female Malissa Barns, female Anna Barns, male Charles Barns, male Henry Barns, male Samuel Barns and female Mary Peeler.[2]

He was noted as a house carpenter and born April 1855 in Georgia. He had been married for twelve years. Also included in the household are wife Alice Barnes, son Foy W Barnes, daughter Neoma Barnes, son John W Barnes, daughter Martie L Barnes and daughter Mollie G Barnes as seen in an image of the original census.[3]

Benjamin F Barnes was enumerated as head of the household in Glenwood Park Division, Justice Precinct 1, Potter County, Texas for the April 25, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1855 in Georgia and had been married twenty-three years (marked as his second marriage). He was a renter and a carpenter (house) as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Alice Barnes, son John Wealy Barnes, daughter Martia Lee Barnes and daughter Eria May Barnes.[4]

Benjamin Barnes was enumerated as head of the household at 1215 Hargrove Street N. W., Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma for the January 3, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1856 in Georgia and married. He was a renter and a carpenter (contracting company) as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Alice M Barnes, daughter Naomi Barnes, daughter Eva Barnes and granddaughter Beulah Edwards.[5]
