Biography

Rachel Morine Barnes was born September 27, 1927 in Cochran County, Texas to father Chester Arthur Barnes and mother Mary Morine Shefflett.[1]

Rachel Barnes was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Precinct 3, Cochran County, Texas for the April 15, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1928 in Texas and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Chester Barnes, wife Norene Barnes, son Chester Barnes Jr., daughter Dorothy Barnes, daughter Elizabeth Barnes and son Lee Barnes.[2]

On April 1, 1935, Rachel Marie Barnes lived in Pampa, Gray County, Texas.[3]

Rachel Marie Barnes was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at 605 Van Baren, Amarillo, Potter County, Texas for the April 3, United States Census, 1940. She was noted as born 1928 in Texas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Chester A Barnes, wife Mary M Barnes, daughter Elizabeth C Barnes, son Edwin Lee Barnes and grandson Donald Lee Scott.[3]

Barnes was listed as the mother of Steven Charles Spinosa who was born March 11, 1947 in Los Angeles County, California.[4]
