Biography
Edmond Barnes was born in 1668, in Charles county, Maryland, a son of Henry Barnes born 1643, in St James, London, England, who immigrated to Maryland, and his wife Sarah Cofer, born about the same time in Portobacco, Charles county, Maryland.
Edmond is named in his father's Will, written October 11, 1675 and probated October 5, 1676:

- Charles County,
- 11th Oct., 1675; 5th Oct., 1676.
- To son Matthew Barnes, dau. Christian Barnes, sons Thomas, Francis and :John Coster, and to Edmond Barnes, personalty.
- Wife Sarah, execx.
