Biography

He was a coachmaker and lived, at least for a while, on West Patrick Street about a block east of where the east and west lanes come together near Frederick High School. Later he moved to Feagaville where he continued his trade as a coachmaker.[1]

Birth Sources have differing birth dates. The family Bible lists March 13, 1846.[2] The Frederick Post obituary states his age as "76 years, 4 months, 26 days" resulting in March 14, 1846.[3] The Mount Olivet Cemetery computer database lists March 18, 1846.[4] Finally, his tombstone states his age as "76 years, 5 months, 4 days" resulting in March 5, 1846.[5]
