Biography
Peter Barnes was a farmer. He was Baptised 20 June 1781 according to the Scilly Islands Parish records. His first wife was Honor (surname unknown) and they had a child called Edward in 1806. Honor died in March 1808.
His next wife was Priscilla (surname unknown). The opc data base does not list these marriages but does have a list of Peter and his partners with the baptism dates of his children. Born to Priscilla and Peter were Honor (1813-1814), Selena (1815-1865) and Peter Karvarth Barnes (1817-)
In 1820 Peter married Lucretia McFarland.(1798-1876) They then had five children: Lucretia (1823), William (1825), Eliza Ann (1827), Mary (1830) and John (1833).
