Elizabeth (Barnes) Merchant was born in Highworth, Wiltshire, England.

Elizabeth, daughter of William and Mary (née Dodd) Barnes, was born on the 9th June 1805 in Highworth, Wiltshire.

Elizabeth married Richard Merchant Bapson on the 30th December 1827 in Tahlee, Port Stephens, Colony of New South Wales.[1]

Elizabeth Merchant died (aged 58) on the 10th June 1863 in Beaver, Beaver, Utah Territory. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Beaver, Utah.[2]
