Biography

Francis Barnes was born in either 1700 or 1708-1710. She was the daughter of Matthew Barnes (1672-1746) and Frances Osborn (1680-1713), both of Charles County, Maryland, who were married about 1699 in Charles County, Maryland.[1]

First marriage to Thomas Osborne about 1732. One daughter; Prudence.

Second marriage to Cuthbert Harrison on 19 November 1738 in Prince William County, Virginia.

Francis and Cuthbert had seven children;

  1. Elizabeth (1740-1823)
  2. Seth (1742-1783)
  3. John (1744-??)
  4. Cuthbert (1747-1780)
  5. Frances (1749-1829)
  6. Anne (1752-1783)
  7. Sarah (1754-1842)

Francis died in 1754. Frances was mentioned on a memorial in Harrison Cemetery, Prince William County, Virginia, United States with a death date of 1754.[2] Note that this memorial has no gravestone photo, but does have several photos of the Harrison family burial site with a commemorative plaque. All information and relationships are accepted family history, but not proven. Birth date of 1708.
