Minnie Mattie Barnett was born to John Abbott Barnett and Almeda Teague on February 7, 1883 in Grapevine, Texas. She married Edra Granville Hudson on September 19, 1897 in Wise, Texas [2]. They had 8 children before their divorce was finalized on December 23, 1929, in Clovis, New Mexico [3]. She was still in Clovis when she married her second husband, John William Wiggins on December 24 in 1929[4]. They continued to live in Clovis until her first husband Edra became ill. She moved back to the family home to nurse him. She stayed with him through his illness until his death in 1954. Her husband John moved away during this time. After Edra's death she stayed in the home and lived out her life until her death on October 16, 1957. She was buried next to Edra Granville at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, New Mexico.
