Caution: Carol Harlow, in 2005, felt that Nancy might have been a Chenault, and not a Barnett.
Her name Chenault is given in "Thomas Coffey and his descendants" by L. H. Coffey.
There was a Stephen Chenault in the area, may be related to Nancy.
www.filsonhistorical.org "Filson Historical Society", Louisville, has Stephen Chenault's Bible on display (as per 2005).
1815 Nelson County landowners listing, states she has a Life ownership of land on Tye River, 20 miles west of courthouse.
1820 census: Nelson Co VA, listed next door to her daughter, and son in law: John H. Campbell. Nancy Coffey, who was then over 45 yrs of age with over 20 slaves.
