Samuel married Mary Railsback in Butler County, Ohio on 24 February 1814 they were married by Reverend John Hardy[3].
Samuel was in Delaware County, Indiana for the 1820 Census. He is listed near his father Robert and Jeremiah Corbley. In his household is one male under 10 years of age, likely his son Robert, one male over 26 and under 45 which would be himself, one female under 10 likely his daughter Sarah and one female over 16 and under 26 which would be his wife Mary.[4]
In his will, which was accepted as proven by the clerk of the court, J.M. Ray, on 3 Sep 1827, he lists his wife Mary and two children Robert and Sarah. Though he says there is the "prospect" of another child, there was not one alive when he signed his will on 16 July 1827[5].
