Biography
Louis Barré, the son of Jean Baptiste Barre (29 Sept 1723-20 July 1803) and Marie-Agathe LaRocque (19 APR 1728-11 May 1813), was born 11 Jan 1757 and baptized the same day at Chambly.[1] His godfather was his grandfather Louis Barré and his godmother was Françoise Leblanc.[1]
Louis Baré married Louise Monty (12 Sept 1762-28 March 1813), daughter of Gaspar Monty and Marie Therese Desnoyer , on 24 Apr 1780 at La Conception, in St Mathias, Rouville, Quebec, Canada.[2] [3] Louis' father Jean Barre , his brother Jean Baptiste , his sisters Marie , Felicite , and Elizabeth Barre , his aunt Thérèse Barre , an uncle François LaRocque and several members of his new wife's family were present.[2]
