Isabel Barre was born circa 1453 at Knebworth, Ayot St. Lawrence, & Panshanger in St. Andrew Rural, Hertfordshire, England.[1][2][3][4][5] She was the daughter and heiress ofJohn Barre, by his first wife Idoine.[6]

She married, firstly, Sir Humphrey Stafford, 15th Earl of Devon, Lord Stafford of Southwick, Sheriff of Somerset & Dorset, High Steward of Cornwall, Constable of Bristol & Bridgwater, son of William Stafford, Esq., Sheriff of Dorset, Somerset, Gloucestershire, & Wiltshire and Katherine Chideocke, after 3 September 1463; No issue.[2][4][5]
She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Bourchier, Constable of Leeds Castle, son of Sir Henry Bourchier, 1st Viscount Bourchier, Earl of Essex, 2nd Count of Eu and Isabel Plantagenet, circa 1472. They had 2 daughters, both of whom died without issue:[1][2][3][4][5][7][8]

Isabel Barre died on 1 March 1489.[6] She was buried in the parish church of Ware, Hertfordshire.[1][2][3][4][5]
