There appears to be many names in this Beard line. It is unclear if these lines are related, but there claims to be two different Beard lines in Washington Co. Md that at least once did marry the other as seen with Margaret Beard.

The earliest Beard found in records was for Maryland Naturalization of Peter Bayard 1684 by Brumbaugh.

Zacharias Bart/Beard/Barth married in 1794 a Maria at the St. Lutheran Church in Washington County, Hagerstown Md. He and sons Johannes (John), George were members of the church.

Born in Bavaria Germany. He came to America with his brother, Michael, about 1747. Their boat, 'The Judith' docked at Chester, Pa. They settled at Hagerstown, Md. Michael served in the Revolutionary War. {Zacharriah settled as a farmer and married Maria (last name unknown.) Childen of Zacharriah and Maria are: John, Elizabeth, George, Katherene, Susanna, Maria, Sully, Zacharia, and Michael.
