Biography

Alberta Mable Bartholomew was born February 24, 1882 at Concord, Dodge, Minnesota. She was the daughter of John Bartholomew and Mary Mathilda Walker.

She can be found along with her parents in Mantorville, Dodge, Minnesota in 1885 and to nearby Milton township in 1895.

In 1896 Alberta married Frederick A. Grover the son of Isaac C. Grover and his wife Eliza Ann Grover Grover. Ten children were born to Alberta and Frederick.

Alberta lived in Dodge county, Minnesota from their marriage until 1926. In 1926 Alberta and Children moved to International Falls, Koochiching, Minnesota following Freds death. Alberta remained in International Falls for the rest of her life.

Later in life she remarried to George Hawkes

Alberta Mabel Bartholomew Grover Hawkes passed away on April 10, 1957 at International Falls, Koochiching, Minnesota. She is buried at the Forest Hill Cemetery, International Falls, Minnesota.
