Biography

Rebecca Bartholomew^[1][2] was born Aug 1 1736 in Branford, New Haven, Connecticut. Her parents were Isaac Bartholomew, MD and Martha Barnes ^{[3] [4]}

She married Munson Merriam, Sr on Dec. 26, 1764. Munson, son of Ichabod, was born at Wallingford, Conn, Aug. 19, 1730 ^[5]

He resided in Wallingford, Conn., in the portion set off as Cheshire, Conn., after some time. Bequeathed his estate to his wife and children, and chased them to care for his “aged mother;” will dated 7 Oct., 1777; proved March 10, 1794.^[5]
