Biography

Henry C. Bartlett was born 21 Jul 1843, son of Levi Bartlett and Maria Dickey of Harmar, Washington, Ohio, United States.

From the published book by Thomas Edward Bartlett: The Bartletts. Ancestral, genealogical, biographical, historical. Comprising an account of the American progenitors of the Bartlett family, with special reference to the descendants of John Bartlett, of Weymouth and Cumberland. :

"Henry C, b. July 21, 1843; was with the 63d Regiment, O. V. I., from its formation. Was with it in all its engagements; carried the regimental flag three years, was never absent from duty or sick. As his comrades expressed it, he was the bravest of the brave.
He went to Georgetown, Colorado, in 1869 and in 1880, was living there. "[1]
