Researching the family of Oliver Bartlett, b. 1743 in Hadley MA. father of Wyram, Daniel and others. Direct line DNA testing at Family Tree DNA and soon to be tested at Ancestry DNA. "Brick Wall" is Oliver's father's lineage, he believed to be Henry Bartlett. Henry is believed to be the Henry from Hadley who was killed in the Battle of Bloody Morning Scout in Sept, 1755 in the prelude to the Battle of Saratoga in New York state. If one can believe the paper trails of the most well-known Bartletts in early MA , DNA testing has provided evidence that we belong to none of them. With regard to DNA results, we have two 35/37 matches that both carry the surname Parr, one of wich presently resides in England nd knows of not ancestors which emigrated to the Colonies.

Hi, saw that you were looking for a male descendant of John Parr for DNA information. John Parr would be my great, great, great, great, great, great, great grand father. I've considered DNA testing and whatnot, but am not sure the best one, do you have any recommendations?
