MARRIAGES. BARTLETT-OAKES. At the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Agnes Oakes on North Main street. Homer, N. Y., February 15,1911, by Rev. M. E. Bowman, Truman Bartlett of west Homer, and Miss Ella Mary Oakes of this village.

Bartlett-Oaks. At the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Agnes Oakes in North Main street, there occurred last evening a pleasant home wedding. Miss Ella Mary Oakes was at that time, united in marriage with Truman Bartlett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abner Bartlett, whose home is on , West hill, two miles from this village. The ceremony was performed by Rev. M. E. Bowman in the presence of the family and a few intimate friends, the party numbering about twelve persons. The only guests from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Shevalier of Messengerville, brother-in-law and sister of the bride. The bride and groom wer,e unattended. The bride wore a gown of white organdie trimmed with insertion and applique. She wore a corsage bouquet of bride's roses and white roses in her hair. After the ceremony, the gue«ts Were ushered into the dining room, where a delicious wedding supper was served. The evening was spent pleasantly and the wedding party greatly enjoyed the informal evening with music and other social pleasures. Mr. Bartlett is employed on the farm of L. A. Stafford at the west end of Cayuga street and is a young man of excellent character and is popular with his friends and acquaintances. Mrs. Bartlett is the second daughter of Mrs. Oakes and is a young lady of many attractive qualities of heart and mind. She is a graduate of Homer academy and at present is a/ teacher in the school at Scott.. Many wedding gifts of silver, linen, etc., were received. No wedding trip was taken as Mrs. Bartlett will continue her school work in Scott. For the present,' Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett will make their home at the residence of the bride's mother. The best wishes of many friends will be extended to the newly married couple.
