The town records of Mount Vernon, Kennebec County, Maine contain the birth dates of children William ,Sarah, Joseph, Enoch, and Thomas.
Compiler's comment: This doesn't necessarily mean son William was born in the town of Mount Vernon. The 1850 census of Lee, New Hampshire shows Jonathan and Lovy Bartlett, both born New Hampshire, with children Sarah, 30, born Maine with brothers John, 26, and David, 23, both born New Hampshire. From this we can deduce the family came from New Hampshire to Maine before 1816 and returned to New Hampshire before 1824. [5]

1850 U.S. Census, New Hampshire, Strafford County, Lee; all born New Hampshire except Sarah born Maine; Jonathan Bartlett, 69, farmer; Lovy, 60; Sarah, 30; John, 26; David, 23, farmer.
In the 1860 U.S. Census, Love is found in the household of her son. New Hampshire, Strafford County, Lee; John Bartlett, 38, farmer; Lovey, 70.
Again in the 1870 U.S. Census, Love is found in her son's household; same location; John Bartlett, 47, farmer; Lovey, 80, keeping house. [6]

Jonathan, son of Judge Thomas, married Lovy Laskey of Lee, lived in Lee, where his widow and son John reside ; his other children are : Enoch of Chelsea, Mass. ; Sarah, who married Deacon True of Amesbury, Mass. ; Joseph of Durham ; David of Amesbury, Mass. ; and Thomas of Kansas ; [7]
