Frederick was born on 21 October 1869. He was the son of John Bartlett and Ellen Chilcott. ^[1]

Frederick married Louisa Augusta Hermeina Trimper at the Residence of Rev E G Warren at Kadina on 19 May 1909.^[2]

He lived at Wallaroo mines when he passed away on 8 April 1953 at Wallaroo Hospital.^[3]
