I'm almost certain that Margaret Bartlett married only one husband named "Register" or "Regester," as there are marriage records showing a date of 2 Oct 1731 at the Third Haven Quaker Meeting in Talbot County, Maryland for a Margaret Bartlett and a "Francis Regester". Another record for Margaret and Francis with the same spelling is for a later final Marriage Intention (when they made their commitment to each other at the Quaker meeting) dated a couple months later, on 8 Dec 1731 in Talbot, Maryland. Of the two husbands listed in Margaret's profile, however, It seems likley from this that Margaret's only husband was the one listed in the profile as "Joseph Francis Register," although, confusingly, he may have gone by "Francis Regester." Another problem here is that the profile has Margaret marrying two Register or Regester men and having children with both of them concurrently (many of the children from both families were born in the 1730s). It's not likely that Margaret was married to both at the same time and having children with both of them. The profile here belonging to "Francis Regester" is the newer of the two, and it lists different parents than those for "Joseph Francis Register." Also, the children listed as belonging to Francis Regester and Margaret have no spouses or descendants listed. Can someone help to tidy this up? It seems to me that the profiles for "Francis Regester" and his children should either be removed or attached to another wife and mother, if she can be found. I'm hoping that that is the incorrect husband for Margaret, if only because the connections for "Joseph Francis Register" and his ancestry seem to be more solid. Can anyone help to fix all of this?
