Biography
Served in WWII. He enlisted to the United States Army on October 28, 1942 at the age of 21. His enlistment records state that he had 4 years of high school education and, at the time, was single. It stated that his job category was "semiskilled occupations in the manufacture of automobiles." He also had a secondary occupation as a tobacco farmer. He worked in his own field and employed all three of his sons in their youth.
