It shows a match for yours and shows link approx 7.5 generations ago which would be around 1749.
Here is my dilemna :
My third great grandfather William Ainsworth born R.I. 1790-1886
moved to Washington County, N.Y. and I cannot find any links
to any of his ancestors. I have searched for over 20 years.
It is a possible he could have changed his name from AYLESWORTH, AINESWORTH, or other similar names.
As we are genetically linked do you have any Aylesworth, Ainesworth relations on your tree? If it is around 1700 to 1790
it might confirm a link to my WIlliam. As his sons name was also
William, I suspect there would be a William Aylesworth around
1750. Many thanks for your efforts.

p.s. I am on Ancestry.com and if you are a member I could

Did you get my fairly long e-mail last night about Bentons from Epping, Essex to CT? I sent it as return e-mail from the note you sent me.... then I saw that I was not to do that. If you did not get it, I will copy. My e-mail address is MattyBFam@aolcom. It might be easier if we communicated about Bentons in that way. Since both our husbands' Benton families started in Epping, Essex and then lived in Guilford, CT, I am sure they must be related in some way. My husband's family lived in Guilford for many generations.
Hi! I see where you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

Thanks for the thank you. However, I don't think your are related to the Dan Benton I posted the other day.
Maybe you just want to grow the tree, though. Hope you have some fascinating Bentons in CT like my husband's line does.
Joan (Whitsett) Benton
