Geoffrey III (Basse-Lotharingie) Lorraine is Notable.

Godfrey III, Duke of Lower Lotharingia (died 1069), called Godfrey the Bearded, was a son of Gothelo I, Duke of Lotharingia. The German Emperor Henry III authorized him to succeed his father as duke of Upper Lotharingia in 1044, but refused him the ducal title of Lower Lotharingia. Godfrey rebelled against his king and devastated land in Lower Lotharingia, as well as the city of Verdun. He was soon defeated by an imperial army and was imprisoned together with his son (Gibichenstein, 1045).

In 1065, he became duke of Lower Lotharingia. He is sometimes counted as Godfrey II of Lower Lotharingia.

Godfrey married Beatrix of Bar, daughter of Duke Frederick II of Upper Lotharingia and widow of Bonifacius, margrave of Tuscany. As such he succeeded as margrave of Tuscany in 1054. Son:

  1. Godfrey IV, Duke of Lower Lotharingia

Basse-Lotharingie-1 and UNKNOWN-130517 appear to represent the same person because: Wife and daughter match, as well as death year.
