Biography

Lady Isabella Basset died Dec 1225 and although MedLands suggested she may have married Thomas da Venuz on 24 October 1225 this was the date he paid for the “marriage license” but she died in the December before the marriage took place.[1]

Research Notes

That there was a Mauduit connection to Clapham, Bedfordshire is confirmed by VCH Bedfordshire which says of the manor of Clapham Greenacres or FitzJeffrey's Manor "The first tenant of the property of whom mention has been found is William Mauduit Earl of Warwick, who before the year 1268 alienated it to William le Brun."[2]

Basset-29 and Basset-200 appear to represent the same person because: appear to be same person as wife to same man

Stephanie, The merge between Basset-193 and Bassett-499, proposed back in August 2011, looks OK to me. Is there a problem with it?
