Joanna Bassett was born on 24 Sep1697, in Windham, Windham, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Bassett Jr. (1667-1728) and Joanna Borden (1677-1740).^[1]

Joanna married James Hovey (1695-1751), on 4 Feb 1717, in Mansfield City, Tolland, Connecticut. ^[2][3]
