Hannah Bassett married Joseph Covel of "Monomoy" (later Chatham) on 1 March 1703/4 in Eastham, Barnstable, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[1]

She died not long after and he married second Hannah Bassett, daugther of Nathaniel of Yarmouth and sister of Nathan of Monomoit, March 1, 1703-4."[2]

Research notes

Hannah4 Bassett, (Nathaniel3, William2, William1, b. ?; m. Joseph2 Covell (Nathaniel1).[3]

Hannah's death date has been listed as 10 Jan 1709 but there are no sources. This date is 11 years before the birth of her son Nathaniel Covell) Holladay was born. FamilySearch has her death date as 1729 but there is no source attached.[4] Her "death before birth of son" throws an error in the database and in order to fix this I have changed the death date to 1729. So neither the original of 1709 or 1729 are sourced.

Bassett-3232 and Bassett-305 appear to represent the same person because: These two Hannah Bassetts represent the same person and I propose they be merged
posted by Nancy (Small) Downing
Bassett-3232 and Bassett-305 are not ready to be merged because: These profiles are a match but I believe that the date for the marriage of Joseph Covell and Hannah Bassett should be Mar 1st not March 12th and I can find no record for the birth of Hannah Bassett to Nathaniel Bassett and Dorcas(Mary) Joyce. According to "The History of Chatham" by Wm Smith, Hannah was the daughter of Nathan and Mary(Crowe) Bassett, son of Nathaniel and Dorcas Joyce.
