George Millard Bastin Rites Held Saturday

Rites for George Millard Bastin, 79, were held at Calvary Ridge Church on Saturday of Last Week. The Rev. Virgil Anderson officiated

Death came to Mr. Bastin on Wednesday, Dec. 2. He was the son of John and Susana Bastin and was born August 20, 1874.

He was married to Miss Bratcher about 1807, and they became the parents of 10 children, four of whom have preceded him in death. Those surviving are Edith Goodman, Bertha Pike, Edna Fatherman and Glayds Bradshaw, all of Cincinnati, Everett Bastin of Tennessee, and Ethye Floyd of Yosemite.

He was married a second time to Betty Hatter, who survives, and whose one child died in infancy.

There are also 21 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were his grandsons Sonny Bastin, Mack Pike, Baxil Bastin, Bobby Goodman, Delbert Floyd and Hollis Floyd.

Miller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
