She was not the daughter of Rev. Stephen Bachelir. He had no daughter by that name.[citation needed]
Elizabeth was born between 1581 and 1587 in Ticehurst, Sussex, or Devon, Dorset, England.[1][2][3]
She married 22 January 1615 (in Bridport, England) Henry Way.[4] David Greene's 1985 TAG article: really draws into question Elizabeth *Batchelar* as wife of the immigrant-- at least the one who comes with him. This article publishes the Bridport parish records which does include a 1615 marriage between one Henry Way and one Elizabeth Batchelar BUT there is also a 1618 burial of Elizabeth, wife of Henry Way.[5]
