Biography

Jethro Batchelder, son of Abraham Batchelder & __?__, was born ca 1747 [1] in (Gilmanton, Belknap, NH?) (Exeter, NH?) [citation needed].

He married 1774 in Gilmanton, NH to Dorothy Mighel (Mighals?) (another record says Dorothy Peas). They had issue: Mary B., Sarah, John B., Ebenezer, Betsey, Harriet, Aaron Porter, Mark W., Harriet M., and Frederick. [1]

Jethro, born 1747 in Exeter, New Hampshire, died 24 November 1841 in Danville, Caledonia Vermont, served in the American Revolution under Captains Denbow, Amos Morrill, Col. Stark; also with Captain Nathaniel Wilson and Col. Thomas Stickney. He married Dorothy Mighalis in Gilmanton, New Hampshire; she died North Danville, Vermont, 22 May 1843..[2]

"He worked as carpenter in Portsmouth, N. H., when a young man, and was seven years in the Rev. war; and he married Dorothy Mighals. He had a sister. They resided on a farm in Barnstead, near the Sanbornton line. He was granted a pension by the United States government March 4, 1831, for service in the N. H. Continental line, and at this time was 84 years of age. After his death his widow was paid his pension." They had resided in Portsmouth and Barnstead, NH. [1]

Death

Jethro died 24 November 1841 in Danville, Caledonia Vermont.[3]
