Biography

Philip was the son of Sylvanus Bates and Elizabeth Torrey

He was born in 1703 [1]


Philip married Susan Pratt on 10 Apr 1815 in Weymouth, Mass.[2]

Philip and Susan had three sons (known-others possible)

  2. Charles Wells Bates 1823–1908 m1) Mehetable Cook, m2) Mandana Damon

Philip died at the age of 30[3] of fever and dysentery
