John BATES, son of Thomas BATES and Mary CATESBY, was born on 11 March 1808 in Parramatta, Colony of New South Wales, was christened on 2 June 1811 in St. John's Church of England, Parramatta, Colony of New South Wales, died on 10 November 1838 in Sydney, Colony of New South Wales at age 30, and was buried on 12 November 1838 in Sydney Burial Ground, Sydney, Colony of New South Wales.
