Thomas was the husband of Ida Furrell, not sure of her maiden name spelling. Thomas and Ida's known children are Thomas, Fred, Mary, Howard and Mildred, all born prior to 1930 census. Thomas' parents were John Andrew Bates and Anna Hillyer, both buried at Bear Creek Cemetery in Marion Co MO.
