Biography
Martha was born about 1824.
Ebenezer Kingman married Martha Bates in 1847 [1]. Her year and place of birth are estimated based only on this one fact.
After the death of her daughter-in-law, Mary Charlotte Reed, she raised her grandaughters Ida, Charlotte, and Helen Kingman in her home on Maple Street in Quincy Mass, since their father had abandoned them. In the 1900 Census they are listed as living at 4 Maple Place, Quincy, Norfolk Co., MA. [2]
