Biography

In the 1871 Census he is living with the family in the School Masters house, Part of the School buildings for the "Jubilee National School", Back Church Road, Haliwell, Bolton.

In the 1881 census he is shown living with his parents in the village of Beeford (East end), this is approx 5 miles South East of Driffield.

After his fathers Death in late 1881 it appears he becomes head of the household as in the 1891 census he is shown still living in Beeford, Waterloo House along with his elder sister Eliza Ann and his younger brother, Charles. Both he and Charles are listed as "Market Gardeners" whilst Eliza is the "Housekeeper". He lists his Birthplace as the village of Wootton in Lincolnshire, this is approx 7 miles North East of Brigg.

In 1900 he marries Joyce Foster in Skipsea.

In the 1901 Census, he and wife Joyce are living at "Far Grange, in the Parish of All Saint's, Skipsea. Thomas is listed as a Farmer and there are 3 teenage servants working for them.

They have 2 Children in Skipsea Katleen and Ena before moving to "Hessel" near to Hull where they have 2 more children, John and Francis.

In 1911 they are all shown living in 475 Anlaby Rd, Hessle, Hull where Thomas is listed as "Baker (Maker) Retailer.
