In the 1921 Census Robert is living with wife Annie at: 4 Back Bamford Road, Heywood, Lancashire. His age is given as 26 years 4 months and place of birth is Kirkham, Lancashire. His occupation is “Motor Driver” and he is employed by “Eagle Raising and finishing Co” at the Eagle Mill in Heywood.

First wife Annie died in 1941.
