Hi Frances!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Staci ~ WikiTree Pre-1700 Greeter

Hi Frances,

How exciting to have another descendant of John and Rachel on WikiTree. Is the branch you descended from the son that's already attached to Lewis or will your connection be a whole new branch?

My connection is not documented to my satisfaction yet. I'm good back to Alvis but the next two generations (Alvis Alexander > William Ransom > Josiah) haven't been proven here at WikiTree. They were added by an earlier research with no sources and I've not gone beyond Alvis yet.

I've got my work cut out for me. If you come across anything about that line, feel free to throw sources my way. I'll keep an eye out for your bunch too.

I don't think I'm managing any of Lewis' descendants. If you find one, let me know so we can get you on the trusted list.

Happy Hunting,

Goodness! I don't think I ever replied to your welcoming message. We are descended from Henry Millard Baucom.

How's everything going?

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Frances,

Baucom was my grandmother's maiden name. Welcome to WikiTree. Let me know if I am the manager of anyone you're interested in, I'll add you to the trusted list. I look forward to possibly collaborating with you.
